DUSHANBE, 21.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Rustam Emomali took part in the award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the 2023 CAFA Nations Cup, which was held from 10 June through June 20 in Tashkent.

In the final match, Iran beat Uzbekistan with the score of 1-0. In the match for the third place, Oman beat Kyrgyzstan with a score of 1-0.

Following the tournament results, the Fair Play prize was awarded to Uzbekistan. The best scorer and the best player became Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi, who scored six goals. The best goalkeeper was named Omani player Ibrahim Saleh Al-Muhaini.
