DUSHANBE, 22.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the dates for the matches of the preliminary round and the play-off stage of the AFC Cup 2023/24.
Tajik Khujand FC at the playoffs of the AFC Cup-2023/24 in the Central zone will play against the winner of the preliminary round match between Merv (Turkmenistan) — Alai (Kyrgyzstan) on August 22 at the stadium «20th Anniversary of Independence of Tajikistan».
The match between Merv and Alai will be held on August 15 in Turkmenistan.
The AFC Cup Preliminary Round and Playoffs will consist of one match.
In case of success at the playoff stage, Khujand will reach the group stage in Central zone, along with Ravshan (Tajikistan), Altyn Asyr (Turkmenistan) and Abdysh-Ata (Kyrgyzstan).
The group stage in the Central Zone will begin on September 20 and last until December 14. Only the winner of the group will advance to the next stage of the tournament.
