Composition of the Tajik Jiu-Jitsu Team for the Hangzhou Asian Games Has Been Determined

DUSHANBE, 06.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The composition of the national jiu-jitsu team of Tajikistan for the Asian Games, which will be held in Hangzhou, has been determined.
Tajikistan will be represented by Fotimakhon Gadoeva in the weight of 48 kg, Khushdil Jafarov in the weight of 62 kg, Ramshed Abdulloev in the weight of 69 kg, Abdurahmon Bahromjon and Mehroj Kamolov in the weight of 77 kg, Khushbakht Rahmihudoev in the weight of 85 kg.
XIX Asian Games will be held from September 23 through October 8. Tajikistan will be represented by more than 100 athletes.
According to the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, 45 national Olympic committees — members of the Olympic Council of the continent — have submitted applications to the organizing committee of the Games. The program of the Games includes 40 sports (28 Olympic and 12 non-Olympic).
These games will feature cybersport and breakdancing competitions for the first time. The participation of Tajik athletes, in addition to judo, is expected in boxing, athletics, free and Greco-Roman wrestling, weightlifting, swimming, archery, shooting, taekwondo, karate, kurash and chess.
XIX Asian Games will be held at 54 sports grounds in Hangzhou and 5 cities of Zhejiang province — Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jinhua, Shaoxing and Huzhou.
It should be noted that since 1951 the Asian Games have been held every four years under the auspices of the Asian Olympic Council. Tajikistan has been participating in these games since 1994 and has received 27 medals to date, of which four are gold, six are silver and seventeen are bronze.
