DUSHANBE, 19.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The winners and prize-winners of the Asian Games, which will be held in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, will receive the Award of the President of Tajikistan.

Athletes who win gold medals will be awarded 150,000 somoni, silver medals — 100,000 somoni and bronze medals — 50,000 somoni.

The Hangzhou 19th Asian Games will be held from September 23 through October 8. The games program includes 40 sports (61 sports trends). Tajikistan, consisting of 110 athletes, will take part in the games.

The Asian Games have been held every four years under the auspices of the Asian Olympic Council since 1951. Tajikistan has taken part in these games since 1994 and has so far won 27 medals, of which 4 gold, 6 silver and 17 bronze.
