Tajik Athletes Win Nine Medals at the Asian Boxing Championship in Astana

DUSHANBE, 03.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik youth boxing team won 9 medals at the Asian Championship, which started on October 23 in Astana (Kazakhstan) and ends today.
220 athletes (147 boys, 73 girls) took part in the Championship among teenagers and 215 athletes (137 boys, 78 girls) among youth.
Tajikistan was represented in this competition by 24 athletes (13 teenagers, 11 juniors) and won 1 silver and 8 bronze medals.
Jahongir Kamolov won the silver medal among teenagers in the weight category up to 46 kg.
Bronze medals were won by Mansurkhuja Muminov in weight up to 48 kg, Biloljon Iksanov in weight up to 50 kg, Abubakr Gafurov in weight up to 66 kg, Ziyoratsho Kosimov in weight up to 70 kg, Farinoz Abdulloeva in weight up to 52 kg, Mino Azamzoda in weight up to 60 kg among teenagers, Mehroj Sufijonov in weight up to 48 kg and Bahromek Hotamov in weight up to 71 kg among youth.
