Rustam Emomali Meets the Tajik Team before Paris Olympic Games

DUSHANBE, 15.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 13, Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe, President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali met with the members of the national team of Tajikistan, which will take part in the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris, France.
He emphasized that athletes at such prestigious sporting events represent their homeland and culture not only through professionalism and exceptional abilities, but also through good manners and exemplary behavior.
It was also noted that support for patriotic youth, including athletes, is always the focus of the President Emomali Rahmon, and the country has created all the conditions for their development and sports excellence.
It was expressed confidence that in the future Tajik athletes will demonstrate high professional skills and increase the number of berths to prestigious competitions.
It was emphasized that the athletes who won places of honor at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, on behalf of the Chairman of Dushanbe, would be presented with the keys to 3, 2 and 1-room apartments in the capital.
In conclusion, Rustam Emomali presented the flag of the country to Timur Rahimov, the standard bearer of the Tajik national team, and wished them all good luck.
It should be noted that the 33rd Olympic Games will be held from July 26 through August 11. The games program consists of 32 sports. Participants will compete over 17 days for 329 sets of medals.
Tajikistan will be represented by 14 athletes in 6 sports, including judo, boxing, taekwondo, freestyle wrestling, swimming and athletics.
