World Bank: “Tajikistan’s Economy Has Grown Significantly In Recent Years”

DUSHANBE, 18.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan’s economy has been developing in unprecedented ways in recent years, the World Bank said in a statement on July 16.
It was noted that the economy of Tajikistan grew by 8.3% in 2023, and by 8.2% in the first half of 2024, which is a very noticeable indicator.
According to the statement, the development of the economy of Tajikistan is achieved by increasing income from the export of domestic products, optimizing infrastructure, balanced monetary policy, controlling inflation and effective cooperation with international partners, as well as reducing the state’s external debt.
With reference to the risks and threats associated with the state of the world economy and the country’s trading partners, a number of recommendations were also given, which, according to the relevant officials of the Government of Tajikistan, will certainly be studied and applied in practice.
