Somon Mahmadbekov: “I Dedicate My Medal to the Leader of the Nation and the Entire Tajik People”

DUSHANBE, 31.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On the fourth day of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, Somon Mahmadbekov won a bronze medal in judo in the -81 kg weight category.
After winning the medal, in an interview with the Varzish TV channel, he said that he dedicates his bronze medal of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics to the Leader of the Nation and the entire Tajik people.
“I express my gratitude to the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, for supporting our youth. It was thanks to this support that I was able to win a medal at the Olympics,” added judoka.
Mahmadbekov noted that this had been his dream since childhood, and he finally made it come true.
