Temur Rahimov Wins a Bronze Medal at the Paris 2024 Summer Olimpic Games

DUSHANBE, 02.08.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik judoka Temur Rahimov won a bronze medal in the +100 kg weight category at the Paris 2024 Summer Olimpic Games.
In the fight for the bronze medal, he beat Andy Granda from Cuba.
Rahimov began the fight in the second round, in which he defeated Eric Abramov from Germany, and in the third — Uzbek Alisher Yusupov.
In the semi-finals, he lost to Frenchman Teddy Riner.
Among the members of the Tajik national judo team, Somon Mahmadbekov also won a bronze medal at the Olympics (in the +81 kg weight category). For other judokas, including Emomali Nurali (+66 kg), Behruz Khojazoda (-73 kg), Komronshoh Ustopiriyon (-90 kg) and Jahongir Majidov (-100 kg), the competition ended without results.
