President Emomali Rahmon unveiled the Statue of King Ismoili Somoni in Sangvor district

DUSHANBE, 11.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 11, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in the center of Sangvor district, put in commission by unveiling the symbolic plaque the State Emblem and the Statue of King Ismoili Somoni.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon first laid a wreath at the base of the State Emblem as a sign of tribute to the national sanctity.
The State Emblem was built in the center of the district in a period of almost a year with the high art of architecture and the use of decorative stones, and the height of its base is 25 meters.
It should be emphasized that the State Emblem was created in this remote part of the country in order to protect and pay tribute to national sanctity.
Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, raised a curtain in front of the statue of the founder of the great Samanid state – King Ismoili Somoni.
The statue was created by sculptor Alijon Bobosharifov with high art.
The height of the statue of King Ismoili Somoni in Sangvor district is 5.3 meters, and it reaches 9 meters with the foundation.
Two lions are placed on both sides of the monument as a symbol of the courage and strength of the Tajik nation.
The total area of the alley of the State Emblem and the statue of King Ismoili Somoni covers 47 hundredths of land, and the construction works were completed by the builders of the public organization «Ofiyatbakhsh» with high quality.
The foundation of the fountain, the installation of seats and the area of 2,000 square meters of greenery are among other improvement works in this area.
With the construction of this facility, another good place for recreation and entertainment was created for residents and visitors of Sangvor district.
From now on, the honorable and hard-working residents of Sangvor, like other parts of independent Tajikistan, will celebrate important political events, national, state and public holidays in this area in the atmosphere of overall peace and stability, with gratitude for the maintenance of national unity.
Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, during the opening of this facility, gave instructions and advice to officials to expand the construction works in other holiday facilities and in this way to create even better living and working conditions for the population and to contribute to the development of sectors and industries of the national economy.
