National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan and the Olympic Council of Asia Discuss Further Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 23.01.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports Affairs Zulfikor Gulahmadzoda met with the Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, President of World Aquatics Husain AHZ Al-Musallam.
It was held an exchange of views on traditional sports. It was noted that gushtingiri wrestling, being part of our national culture and today increasingly recognized at the international level, is not only a national sport, but also an important part of our national identity and ancient history.
The meeting also focused in detail on the prospects for further cooperation in the field of sports, including the current state and development of water sports, the development of the infrastructure of the sports sector in Tajikistan, comprehensive preparation for international and continental competitions and the implementation of the Council’s industry programs in Tajikistan.
Following the meeting, the guests visited the Olympic Glory Museum of the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
