DUSHANBE, 02.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The Tajikistan U-16 national football team has been crowned champions of the CAFA U-16 Championship 2025, which was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

According to the Tajikistan Football Federation, the team, coached by Daler Kayosov, advanced confidently through the group stage, securing victories over Turkmenistan (4:1) and Afghanistan (3:0) to book a place in the final.

In the decisive match on 31 May, Tajikistan faced the host nation Uzbekistan. Despite trailing 0:2 during the game, the Tajik side showed strong resilience and fought back to win 4:3.

This marks the third CAFA U-16 title under the leadership of Coach Kayosov, who previously guided the team to victory in 2022 and 2023.
