Central Asia and China Strengthen Dialogue for the Region’s Sustainable Development

DUSHANBE, 03.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The Fifth Forum of Think Tanks “Central Asia – China: New Horizons of Regional Partnership”, held in conjunction with the Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and China, took place on June 3 in Astana, Kazakhstan, reported by the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Forum focused on enhancing political dialogue, developing mutually beneficial economic cooperation, and addressing the latest trends in technological innovation, including green and digital solutions.
Tajikistan was represented by Khairiddin Usmonzoda, Director of the Center for Strategic Research, who delivered a presentation titled “Central Asia–China Relations Amid Global Strategic Uncertainty.”
He emphasized that Central Asian countries are jointly seeking effective mechanisms to support regional stability and sustainable development, where each country contributes positively and inclusively to the success of others.
In his remarks, Usmonzoda highlighted Tajikistan’s strong commitment to international climate initiatives.
“Tajikistan has one of the lowest greenhouse gas emissions in the world. As part of our goal to become a ‘green country’ by 2037, we are rapidly developing infrastructure for green energy. In this effort, Tajikistan is actively cooperating with Chinese companies,” he stated.
