DUSHANBE, 27.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 27, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with leaders and activists in Shugnon district.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, thanked the hospitable people of Shugnon district for the warm welcome.

The President of the country congratulated the participants of the meeting and all residents of the region on an important historical date — the Day of National Unity, and wished a peaceful and calm atmosphere, unity and mutual understanding, progress and prosperity in every corner of the beloved Motherland.

It was emphasized that in accordance with the development plan in honor of the 35th anniversary of state independence in Shugnon district, out of 226 economic and social facilities, 190 facilities have been built and renovated for a total of more than 111 million somoni.

The Head of State stated that the significant contribution of entrepreneurs and honorable people of the district in the process of development and creative work is worthy of praise and appreciation.

It was noted that during the period of independence, more than 3.2 billion somoni were allocated for the development of the district from all sources of financing. Only 670 million somoni were allocated from the state budget.

In addition, 11 state investment projects worth a total of 26 million somoni were implemented in the district. Currently, 8 more projects are underway, within the framework of which work worth 236 million somoni has been completed to date.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, considered it necessary that in order to ensure the stable socio-economic development of the district and increase the level of well-being of its residents, the district leadership comprehensively support the initiatives of entrepreneurs, charitable individuals, and the population.

The relevant ministries and departments received instructions from the Head of State to take measures to strengthen work on the organization and support of small and medium-sized enterprises, the full use of local opportunities and potential for industrial development and investment attraction.

It was emphasized that with the constant support of the Government of the country, financing of the health sector in the Shugnon district has increased year by year, reaching more than 18 million somoni in 2025.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, stated that, in accordance with the goals of the Government of the country, 43 educational institution buildings for 6,340 seats have been built and put into operation in the Shugnon district during the years of independence.
