Escrow Account Agreement Signed in Tajikistan for Electricity Sales

DUSHANBE, 14.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Finance, the Antimonopoly Service, the National Bank, the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan «Amonatbank», and the joint-stock companies “Barqi Tojik”, “Electricity Transmission Networks”, and “Electricity Distribution Networks” have signed an agreement on establishing a bank escrow account.
The agreement was developed and signed in accordance with the Government Decree dated May 23, 2025, on the «Bank Escrow Account for the Distribution and Payment of Funds Received from Electricity Sales through the Energy System of the Republic of Tajikistan.»
The main goal of the agreement is to ensure transparency and efficiency in the distribution of funds generated from the sale of electricity.
