On August 9, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, sent a congratulatory telegram to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Honorable Nikol Pashinyan, which read:

I sincerely congratulate you and the friendly people of Armenia on the occasion of the signing of the Joint Declaration with the Republic of Azerbaijan, which paves the way for achieving lasting peace between the two countries.

We welcome this historic event and emphasize the importance of peaceful dialogue as the only means of resolving crises and conflicts.

We believe that reaching this agreement will provide the necessary basis for the development of good-neighborly relations and partnership cooperation between the two states, and at the same time, will contribute to strengthening the foundations of stability and security in the Caucasus and expanding constructive interregional cooperation.

Taking this opportunity, I wish you, dear Nikol Vovaevich, continued good health and increasing success in your responsible activities for the benefit of the friendly people of Armenia.»
