On October 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, put into operation two new educational buildings of Khatlon State Medical University in Dangara district.

Educational buildings No. 2 and 3 were built as part of the second stage of the construction of the Khatlon State Medical University complex and in anticipation of the great national holiday — 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, with a beautiful architectural design and style.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that educational building No. 2 with 45 classrooms is designed for 1,200 students, and educational building No. 3 with 49 classrooms is designed for 1,416 students.

At the same time, the new educational buildings have 9 experimental classrooms, 2 lecture halls, 1 testing center with a capacity of 2,600 seats, and 6 departments, including “Biochemistry and Biology”, “Pharmacology and Microbiology”, “Military Medicine”, “Health and Epidemiology”, “Medical Chemistry and Ecology”, and “Normal and Pathological Physiology”, with excellent educational conditions and modern medical equipment and devices.

The total number of students in the 2025-2026 academic year is 2,852 from the cities and districts of the country, and the teaching staff and professors are 215 people.

During a conversation with students and faculty of the university, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that science and education have always been a central position in the policy of the Government of the country, and scientists, researchers, teachers, and intellectuals are a creative and driving force in all spheres of life in the country. One of the important goals set by teachers and scientists is to train qualified specialists who meet the requirements of the modern era and comply with world standards.

Over the past 9 years of its existence, the material and technical base of Dangara State Medical University has been improved, and new technologies, modern devices and equipment are used in educational classrooms and scientific and technical laboratories.

In order to expand relations and beneficial cooperation with higher education institutions and prestigious scientific centers in the country and abroad, the university has signed 22 cooperation agreements with the International School of Kyrgyzstan, Al-Farabi Medical University, Karaganda Medical University of Kazakhstan, the Medical Academy of the Republic of Belarus, the Medical University of Pavia in Italy, the World University of Cyrus the Great in the USA, and the South Ural State Medical University of the Russian Federation, and to date it has 5 grant projects.

In 2022, the university became a full member of the “Association for Expert Assessment of Medical Education in Eastern Europe and Central Asia” and in 2023 was officially included in the World Register of Medical Universities.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, instructed to pay serious attention to the issues of quality of knowledge, professionalism of students, professional development of teachers and young scientists, and to fully introduce new teaching methods and the wide use of modern technology.

Currently, the university has 10 departments, 2 Scientific Councils, 5 centers, 5 faculties, 21 departments, 2 colleges, a spacious library, 4 public organizations, a clinic and a central laboratory.

Here, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the draft General Plan of the administrative center of the Dangara district and the project for the construction of two nine-story residential buildings for teachers of Dangara State University. During the presentation, it was reported that the construction of buildings with an area of 1430 square meters is planned on Ismat Sharif Street in Dangara town.

Both buildings consist of nine floors, and 36 two-room apartments with an area of 67.84 square meters and 36 one-room apartments with an area of 52.80 square meters are planned, which are intended to provide 72 families of teachers with housing. The residential buildings will be ready in 3 years.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that in order to ensure the stability and strength of the facility, high-quality products should be used in the construction process and the quality of construction work should be prioritized.

Also here, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, was informed about the General Plan of the Dangara town of the Dangara district.

The general plan of the Dangara town was developed by OJSC “Shahrofar” on an area of 3861 hectares and approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated July 29, 2022.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the territory of the general plan of the town is divided into the areas of the administrative and public center, multi-storey and private residential buildings, utility and warehouse facilities, and central services.
