On November 2, within the framework of his working visit to Sughd Province, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, officially commissioned the Silk Road National Business Complex building, located on Somoni Avenue in Istaravshan City.

The facility was constructed by domestic entrepreneur Mazbut Boyjonov on an area of 4,284 square meters as part of preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It should be recalled that on June 25, 2018, during his working visit to Sughd Province, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, laid the foundation stone for the construction of this national business complex, named the Silk Road, which was officially inaugurated today.

During the construction works, more than 500 local residents were provided with temporary employment.

The facility consists of 18 floors and the necessary infrastructure. The first and second floors house the Shirin Shopping Center, which provides 120 jobs, as well as branded and souvenir shops offering 60 additional jobs. A café with seating for 60 people is also located on the first floor.

The complex also includes a fitness and training hall, a wellness center, a swimming pool, a bathhouse, a restaurant, a hotel, office spaces, and residential apartments.

Six elevators, including two panoramic elevators, and six escalators have been installed in the building. Overall, following the commissioning of the Silk Road National Business Complex, more than 250 local residents will be provided with permanent employment.

Flowers, ornamental shrubs, and trees have been planted in the courtyard, while fountains have also been constructed, adding to the city’s attractive appearance. Benches and children’s playgrounds have been provided for the recreation and leisure of guests and residents.

Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon expressed his gratitude to domestic entrepreneurs for supporting the Government’s constructive policies and encouraged them to continue their efforts in building and contributing to the progress and development of the Motherland.

Additionally, an exhibition of traditional folk crafts was organized in another section of the complex, showcasing the rich history of the ancient Tajik nation and the outstanding works of artisans from Istaravshan City.
