Italy won over Spain at the playoff match of the Euro 2016
Dushanbe, 28.06.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Italy has defeated Spain 2-0 at the Euro 2016 playoff match.
The match was played in Saint-Denis on Monday.
The goals were scored by Giorgio Chiellini in the 33rd minute and Garziano Pelle in the 90th minute.
Italy will face Germany, which defeated Slovakia 3-0 at the playoff stage, in the quarter-finals on July 2.
The Euro 2016 is held in France between June 10 and July 10 with matches played in 10 different locations, namely in Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse.
A total of 24 European national teams qualified for the Euro Cup final tournament in 2016, after the contestants’ format, which was used since 1996, was decided to be extended from 16 to 24 teams.
