The Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and India signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
Dushanbe, 07.10.2016 / NIAT “Khovar”/. The Agreement on the establishment of Business Council “Tajikistan-India” between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India was signed within the framework of participation in the International exhibition “Healthcare India – 2016” which took place on October 5 in New Delhi.
The document was signed after the meeting of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharif Said with the the President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Sidharth Birla, with the participation of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in India Mirzosharif Jalolov and representatives of business circles of India.
During the meeting the issues of strengthening of cooperation between enterprises of the two countries in priority areas of economic development were touched.
The main purpose of the signing of the Agreement is to assist in the establishment and organization of contacts between enterprises of the two countries, assistance in carrying out and participation in the exhibitions, fairs and other events, which are taking place in the territories of the parties, cooperation on International Commercial Arbitration, intellectual property protection.
Sharif Said urged the business community of India to comprehensively promote the expansion of trade-economic and investment cooperation.
During the dialogue, the Indian businessmen expressed interest in establishing cooperation in priority areas, such as agriculture, information technology, trade cooperation, banking and finance sectors, insurance, industrial cooperation, infrastructure, industry, transport and road construction, the establishment of joint enterprises, as well as cooperation at the regional level.
