New priority projects between the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan and the World Bank discussed in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 08.12.2016. /NIAT “Khovar»/. New priority projects, including infrastructure development, have been discussed by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdusalom QURBONIYON and the World Bank representatives headed by the World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia Ms. Lilia BURUNCIUC, the ministry’s press-centre reported.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to issues regarding the financing plan of the project and bringing the necessary funds to cover the funding deficit, as well as they agreed on the next steps to promote the project preparation.
Finance Minister expressed confidence that the cooperation with the World Bank will be further developed and expanded. The meeting was also attended by the Permanent Representative of the World Bank in Tajikistan Ms. Patricia VEEVERS-CARTER.
