DUSHANBE, 19.04.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The champion of Tajikistan FC “Istiqlol” in the third round of the AFC Cup – 2017 group stage in group “D” won over the Kyrgyzstan FC “Alay” with the score 3:1. The match was held on Tuesday, April 18, at the Dushanbe Central Republican stadium, and has collected more than 14 thousand spectators. In the other match of group “D” vice-champion of Kyrgyzstan “Dordoy” in Bishkek lost to Turkmen “Altyn Asyr” with the score 0:2.

Following the victories over “Alay” and “Dordoy”, “Istiqlol” and “Altyn Asyr” scored 7 points and are placed on the first and second lines of the standings. “Dordoy” has 3 points. “Alay” in three recent matches has not yet scored any points and almost lost chances to qualify from the group.

Now, the champion of Tajikistan will play two away matches in the AFC Cup – 2017 group stage. The wards of Muhsin Muhammadiev on May 3 will play in the Osh city with the local “Alay”, and on May 17 in Bishkek with “Dordoy”. Its final match of the group stage “Istiqlol” will play against Turkmen “Altyn Asyr”. That match will be held on May 31 at the Dushanbe Central stadium.
