Business forum of entrepreneurs of Tajikistan and Armenia held in Yerevan
DUSHANBE, 15.06.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On June 14, 2017, as part of the official visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Republic of Armenia there was held a business forum of entrepreneurs of Tajikistan and Armenia in Yerevan.
The purpose to hold this forum is to present favorable investment opportunities, to develop cooperation between business and financial circles, to attract investments for the creation of joint industrial enterprises, to increase the turnover of goods and products, as well as to find new partners for bilateral cooperation.
During the business forum the entrepreneurs of both parties have presented wide opportunities for future cooperation, in particular in the sectors of textile industry, building materials, creation of joint workshops for the processing and packaging of agricultural products, access to each other’s markets, using the advantageous opportunities of free economic zones of Tajikistan and development of tourism.
The issues of cooperation of the free economic zones of Tajikistan with the World Free Zones Organization, as well as Tajikistan’s accession to this influential organization were also discussed at the forum.
Following the results of business forum between business circles of Tajikistan and Armenia 8 important documents on cooperation were signed:
— MoU between the Stock Exchange “Central Asia” and Limited Liability Company “Stock Exchange of Armenia” on cooperation in the sphere of trade in the stock exchange and an exchange of information;
— Agreement between the enterprise “Silkoat boiyai Sughd” and Armenian company “Sanasaryan” on the delivery of dyeing products;
— MoU between JSC “Barakati Isfara” and LLC “ConAgra” of Armenia on the delivery of dried fruits and nuts;
— MoU between SUE “Fuluzoti nodiri Tojikiston” and the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Armenia” on cooperation in the sphere of processing of mining minerals;
— MoU between JSC “Barakati Isfara” and JSC “Ovali plastic” of Armenia on delivery of plastic dishes to Tajikistan;
— MoU between SUE “Talco” and Russian – Armenian Slavic Institute on cooperation in the sphere of processing raw materials of aluminum powder;
— MoU between JSC “Tojiktour” and JSC “Aspar wild tour” of Armenia on cooperation in the field of tourism;
— MoU between JSC “Kafolat” of Tajikistan and JSC “Snaptour” of Armenia on cooperation in the field of tourism.
It can be noted with confidence that the signing of important documents on cooperation between the business communities of Tajikistan and Armenia is another solid step in the direction of the development of trade – economic relations between the two countries and will create favorable conditions for strengthening mutual foreign trade and setting up joint ventures.
