2017 Ashgabat Asian Games: the number of medals of Tajik athletes reached 51
DUSHANBE, 27.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On the 11th day of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which is being held in Turkmen capital – Ashgabat, the Tajik athletes won 6 medals — 3 silver and 3 bronze.
As NIAT “Khovar” correspondent Tohir Said reports, Tajik athletes Zafar Olimshoev in the weight category -82 kg in sambo, Zuhro Kholova -52 kg and Farhod Rasulov -74 kg both in kickboxing won 3 silver medals of the tournament. Three another bronze medals were won by Tajik athletes Nozimjon Okhirov in the weight category -62 kg in sambo, Suhrob Abdulhaev -80 kg and Mirzoamin Safarov -98 kg both in Greco-Roman wrestling.
We will recall that after the 11 days of competition, the Republic of Tajikistan with 51 medals – 3 gold, 14 silver and 34 bronze among 65 participating states ranks 17 spot in medal standings.
