Tajik boxer Mehrubon Sanginov became world champion!
DUSHANBE, 25.07.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”. Famous Tajik boxer Mehrubon Sanginov won the title of the world champion by the WBC (World Boxing Council) version. The tournament was held in the US state of Louisiana. Sanginov’s fight against American Cameron Burroughs lasted 10 rounds. The fight ended with a score of 100: 93 in favor of Mehrubon.
We will recall that in July of this year in US city of Charlotte, Mehrubon Sanginov defeating American professional Stefan Derstein, won the World Boxing Board title, and became the first world champion in professional boxing in the history of Tajikistan. Prior to this, the American Miguel Cotto was the holder of world title by the WBB version.
