Tajikistan and Japan discussed the holding of business forums and annual meetings
DUSHANBE, 03.11.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan Hamrokhon Zarifi held a meeting with President of Japan Association for Trade with Russia and NIS (ROTOBO), Chairman of the Board of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., Shigeru Murayama on November 1st.
According to the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan, during the meeting the sides had an exchange of views on cooperation in trade and economic spheres, development of business and economic ties, as well as ways to further strengthen them.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan drew the attention of Shigeru Murayama to the fact that Tajikistan is a potential market for Japanese investments and fostering bilateral cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, energy, as well as implementation of joint projects in energy and mining can become very promising for Japanese investors.
It was noted the need to activate various mechanisms to expand trade and economic cooperation, in particular, holding business forums and annual meetings, establishing direct contacts between ROTOBO and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed mutual readiness to promote the further development of bilateral ties in the spheres of economy, trade, industry and technology.
