DUSHANBE, 08.03.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The champion of Tajikistan Dushanbe’s FC “Istiqlol” started the 2018 AFC Cup group stage with a home victory over the Turkmen FC “Ahal”. The match was held on March 7 at the Hissor Central Stadium and ended with a minimum victory of the Dushanbe’s club — 1:0. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan.

According to the source, the match was attended by 11 thousand spectators. The only goal was scored in the 25th minute by an own goal.

The another match of the group D between Turkmen “Altyn Asyr” and the champion of Kyrgyzstan – Osh’s “Alay” ended with a score of 6:3 in favor of “Altyn Asyr”.

It should be noted that the matches of the second round of the 2018 AFC Cup in group D will be held on March 13 — 14. The champion of Tajikistan Dushanbe’s FC “Istiqlol” will play with Turkmen “Altyn Asyr” on March 14 in Balkanabad. FC “Ahal” will host the Kyrgyz “Alay” on March 13 in Ashgabat.
