The national football team of Tajikistan losing away to Philippines in the final round of the qualifiers with a score of 1:2 could not reach the final part of the 2019 Asian Cup. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan.

According to the source, Tajik team needed only a victory to reach the 2019 Asian Cup final stage. The only goal of Tajikistan was scored in 64th minute by Ahtam Nazarov on penalty. The goals of Philippines were scored by Kevin Ingreso and Philip James Yanghazband.

Unfortunately, according to the results of the Asian Cup qualifiers, the national team of Tajikistan finished third in its group and could not win a berth to the final part of the tournament to be held in January next year in the UAE. The national teams of Philippines and Yemen, taking the first and second places in the group F respectively, advanced to the next stage of the continental championship.
