Tajikistan Participates at the CIS Meeting of Expert Council on Economics in St. Petersburg
DUSHANBE, 12.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The first meeting of the Expert Council on Economics at the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held today in the Tauride Palace in St. Petersburg.
The Chairman of the Committee on Economy and Finance of the Assembly of Representatives Sharif Rahimzoda will represent Tajikistan.
The meeting participants will discuss the general economic situation in the CIS region, the main problems of implementing the CIS Economic Development Strategy and determine the priority thematic areas for consideration at subsequent council meetings in 2019-2021.
The participants will start to develop proposals for the IPA CIS Permanent Commissions on the formation of a prospective model lawmaking plan in the CIS, as well as solve a number of organizational issues.
