AIIB President Jin Litsun Says He Fully Support the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 19.08.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, following the meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the President of the Asian Bank for Infrastructure Investment (AIIB) Jin Litsun briefed journalists in Dushanbe.
“Tajikistan has played an important role in the establishment of AIIB and today deserves the full support of our bank,” mentioned Litsun.
“We have already begun to implement some projects in Tajikistan, including projects to improve road conditions between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and to reconstruct the Norak hydropower plant. These projects are vital for the long-term development of Tajikistan,” said Litsun.
“We fully support the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030. This strategy has a great role for the people of Tajikistan in all spheres. In this regard, we cooperate with the government of Tajikistan in the implementation of this important document,” said Litsun.
“Today there are many problems, the needs and resources are huge. But I am convinced that under the direct supervision of the President of Tajikistan and the honest work of the people and the government of Tajikistan, the state can successfully implement its National Development Strategy and ensure the well-being of people at the required level,” noted Litsun.
It was noted that the AIIB will continue its cooperation with other international financial institutions such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward implementing concrete projects.
