DUSHANBE, 25.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Dushanbe’s Istiklol FC became the eight-time winner of Tajikistan’s Cup, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.

In the cup’s final match, Istiklol defeated Tursunzoda’s Regar-TadAZ. The match ended in a draw with the score of 1-1. In the penalty shootout, Istiklol took over Regar-TadAZ with the score of 4-2.

Istiklol’s goalkeeper Rustam Yatimov was named the final’s best player.

Due to Istiklol’s victory, the country’s silver medalist Khujand FC will represent Tajikistan in the AFC Cup 2020, where they will start to play in the playoff round.
