DUSHANBE, 14.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Children and Youth Football League of Tajikistan has been declared the best among Asia’s best youth league in 2019.

The awarding ceremony took place on November 12 at the 3rd AFC Youth Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.

The AFC Secretary General Dato Windsor John and the legendary former midfielder of Manchester United FC and the South Korean team Park Ji Sung handed the special prize to the Director of the Children and Youth Football League of Tajikistan Uvaido Davlatbekov.

“I want to thank the president of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali, who pays special attention to the development and promotion of youth football in the country. The youth league competitions have been held in Tajikistan in three age categories — U-15, U-17 and U-18 for several years, with teams fighting uncompromisingly. To receive this prestigious award from the AFC is a really great achievement for youth football in Tajikistan. We already see the results of our work. I want to thank all the teams that participate in our competitions. This award is just the beginning. We are determined to expand and improve our league in the coming years,” said Davlatbekov.
