Tajikistan’s Initiatives Within WTO Presented in the 8th China Round Table
DUSHANBE, 09.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavqi Zavqizoda participated in the 8th China Round Table as a commentator from December 4 through December 6.
Zavqizoda presented Tajikistan’s position on joint initiatives and accession to the WTO.
The meeting focused the accession to the WTO, joint member initiatives on trade policy, economic integration and preparation for the 12th WTO Ministerial Conference, which will take place on June 2020 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
Zavqizoda held bilateral meetings with the Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin and WTO Deputy General Director Alan Wolff in order to discuss further economic and trade development relations.
The China Round Table is held annually at the initiative of the Chinese government in collaboration with the WTO Secretariat and one of the member countries.
Tajikistan hosted the Third China Round Table meeting on June 1-5, 2015.
