CAFA U-19 Girls Futsal Championship 2020 Ends in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 30.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) U-19 Girls Futsal Championship ended in Dushanbe with the victory of the Iranian national team.
Fifteen matches were played in total within the tournament in Dushanbe. It was held in a circular system in one round, reports the Football Federation of Tajikistan (FFT).
The Iranian team with five victories in five matches played won the championship. The silver medal went to the Uzbek team with 12 points. Turkmenistan with 9 points won the bronze medal.
The Tajik team with one point took fifth place.The CAFA Secretary General Ulugbek Karimov and FFT Vice President Alisher Urunov attended the closing ceremony.
The Fair Play prize was awarded to the Turkmen team. Tajik team received a special award. Iranian team’s player Roghaye Someye with 18 goals became the tournament’s best scorer. Iranian team’s captain Maral Torkaman received the title of the tournament’s most valuable player (MVP).
