IFC VP: We Seek to Increase Collaboration with Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 20.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, following the meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe and Central Asia Georgina Baker briefed journalists in Dushanbe.
“Today, we had a concrete meeting with the President Emomali Rahmon. We discussed the issues relating to the increasing the share of the private sector into the Tajik economy were discussed,” Baker said.
According to her, the meeting also focused on agricultural development, rural areas and the digitalization of the country’s economy.
“IFC is a reliable and long-term partner of Tajikistan. The purpose of my visit is to set up and increase collaboration with Tajikistan,” Baker concluded.
