Boxer Negmatulloev Wins a Second Olympic Berth Among Tajik Athletes
DUSHANBE, 12.03.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Following Bahodur Usmonov, Tajik boxer Shabbos Negmatulloev won a berth to the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
Negmatulloev defeated Indian athlete Sachin Kumar in the second boxing off fight of the Olympic qualifying boxing competition in the Asia-Pacific region in the weight up to 81 kg yesterday.
Negmatulloev in the quarterfinal lost to the representative of Kazakhstan Bekzod Nurdavlatov, but won a berth to the Olympic Games.
Along with Negmatulloev, Bekzod Nurdavlatov (Kazakhstan), Odai Al-Hindawi (Jordan), Chen Dasyang (China) and Paulo Aukuso (Australia) will also go to the Olympic Games.
