DUSHANBE, 23.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Chess competition among teenagers took place on April 21 in Dushanbe.

The event was organized within sport for social development program by the National Olympic Committee in collaboration with the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports.

Its aim was attracting youth to chess, as well as preventing their enlistment into any extremist parties and movements.

The winners were awarded medals, diplomas and souvenirs.

Chess is one of the oldest games Tajik and other Persian-speaking peoples.
