Tajikistan Increases Trade Turnover Volume with CIS Countries
DUSHANBE, 03.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The trade turnover volume between Tajikistan and the CIS countries for the two months of 2020 increased by 22.3% compared to the same period last year, reports the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan.
“Totally, trade turnover between Tajikistan and the CIS countries for this period amounted to more than $ 408.6 million, which is 22.3% more than the same period last year. High trade growth is observed with Azerbaijan (3.9 times), Kyrgyzstan (2.1 times) and Uzbekistan (46.5%),” the Statistics Agency said.
The amount of trade with Uzbekistan for this period was over $ 49.7 million, more than $ 39.2 million of which is product imports. Exports to this neighboring country totaled more than $ 10.4 million.
The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to more than $ 9.4 million. Russia occupies the first place in the trade turnover – $172.7 million. Next comes Kazakhstan — $ 163.6 million.
