First Deputy PM Attends the CIS Economic Council Meeting
DUSHANBE, 01.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Davlatali Said attended the 86th Economic Council meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which was held via video conference.
The meeting agenda included 11 issues relating to the cooperation of the CIS member states in the financial, economic and transport-communication spheres.
Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the field of healthcare, veterinary medicine and the development of the intellectual property market.
The heads of delegations held a thorough exchange of views on the socio-economic situation of the CIS member states and possible collective measures to minimize the negative consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this context, it was decided to include relevant measures in the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the CIS Economic Development Strategy for the period until 2030.
Also, the information was heard about the work on creating exhibition and trade centers of the CIS member states in the territory of the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy in Moscow.
The next meeting of the CIS Economic Council will be held on September 11 in Tashkent.
