Tajikistan Expands Industrial Cooperation with China’s Chongqing

DUSHANBE, July 24, 2026 (NIAT Khovar) – Prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the industrial sector were discussed during a meeting between the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan and a delegation from Chongqing Municipality of the People’s Republic of China in Dushanbe.
The sides also reviewed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in digital technologies, the establishment of industrial parks, the phased localization of electric vehicle and motorcycle manufacturing, and the training of highly qualified specialists.
Referring to the outcomes of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to Chongqing in May 2026, the participants underscored the importance of making full use of the opportunities created to implement the agreements reached during the visit.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Tajik side submitted a package of project documents to its Chinese counterparts aimed at launching joint investment and educational initiatives.
Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and implement joint projects in priority areas of industrial development.
