Tajikistan & Iran ink Agreement on Completion of Second Phase of Construction Work in Istiqlol Tunnel

DUSHANBE, 21.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – An agreement on completion of the second phase of the construction work in the Istiqlol Tunnel has signed in Dushanbe between the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan and Iranian Farab Group, the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan reported.
The document has been signed by the Minister of Transport of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim and the Managing director of Iraninan Farab Group Dr. Ali Vakili.
While speaking about the bilateral and fruitful Tajikistan – Iran cooperation, the Minister of Transport of Tajikistan Azim Ibrahim said that the implementation of the project, timely and quality work would be a logical continuation of win-win cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan Mohammad Taghi Saberi and Managing Director of Iran Water and Power Resources Development Company Behrooz Moradi.
It should further be noted that the funds would be spent to carry out the design work, purchase and install ventilation, lighting, firefighting and safety control systems.
