DUSHANBE, 28.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Istiklol won the third victory at the 2021 AFC Champions League group stage over Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai and is one step away from reaching the 1/8 finals of the tournament.
The match ended with a score of 1-0. The winning goal in the 90 + 6th minute was scored by the team captain Alisher Jalilov.
Earlier, Istiklol beat AGMK (Uzbekistan) with the score of 3-1 and Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) with the score of 4-1.
In another match of Group A, Al-Hilal defeated AGMK with the score of 3-0.
Following five rounds, Istiklol and Al-Hilal with 10 points each lead the group standings.
In the final round, Istiklol will play against AGMK on Friday at 23:55 Dushanbe time.
