In particular, one of them was the support of Tajikistan by the World Bank to eliminate the consequences of COVID-19. In this context, the World Bank is helping to support the health sector and provide for people in need in Tajikistan,” Bjerde noted.
She said that Tajikistan was one of the first to use the emergency programs of the World Bank. As part of the program, a certain amount of vaccine against COVID-19 was provided to Tajikistan.
Bjerde stressed that the meeting also focused on tax reform, digitalization of the Tajik economy, which will create a more stable environment for future investors and the private sector and have a positive impact on attracting foreign investment.
