DUSHANBE, 16.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Tajik judoka Somon Mahmadbekov will take part at the Paris Grand Slam 2021 in the 73 kg weight category, which will be held from October 16 through October 17, reports the National Olympic Committee.

According to the International Judo Federation (IJF), 288 athletes, including 168 men and 120 women from 47 countries will take part in the competitions.

Today, the competitions will be held in 48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, and 63 kg weight categories among women, and in 60 kg, 66 kg, and 73 kg weight categories among men.

Tomorrow, women will compete in 70 kg, 78 kg, and 78 kg weight categories, and men in 81 kg, -90 kg, 100 kg, and 100 kg weight categories.

Winners will be awarded medals and cash-prizes, including €5,000 for the first place, €3,000 for the second place, €1,500 for third place.
