Tajikistan and Uzbekistan Develop Light Industry Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 07.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On February 5, the Chairman of Sughd Rajabboy Ahmadzoda met with the General Director of Pakhtakor Gold Textile LLC of Uzbekistan Mehriddin Yusupov.
The parties exchanged views on establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of light industry and cotton processing.
“Due to the policy pursued by the presidents of the two countries, bilateral cooperation is expanding and ties are being strengthened in various fields. In particular, cooperation in the industrial sector has been established, and Tajik and Uzbek entrepreneurs have already launched several joint ventures,” said Ahmadzoda.
He informed about the possibilities of producing and processing cotton and stated that the parties can carry out significant work in this direction.
Uzbek entrepreneurs spoke about the activities of Pakhtakor Gold Textile and expressed their readiness to implement joint projects.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir.
