DUSHANBE, 29.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the first Venture Capital School opened in Tajikistan.
This initiative was taken by the Business Incubator of Tajikistan in collaboration with development partners.
The opening ceremony was held with the participation of the leadership of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan, representatives of development partners and the private sector.
This initiative will attract domestic and foreign investors to invest in start-up projects in Tajikistan. The attraction of venture capital will allow for financing a greater number of start-up projects, which will enhance the development of small businesses in the country.
The small and medium business in most countries is the main criterion for the development of society, and its share in the gross domestic product (GDP), employment and budgeting is more than half.
It also plays an important role in solving social problems. Therefore, the strategies and programs of economic development of countries pay special attention to this area and create favorable conditions for its development.
Since gaining independence, Tajikistan has ensured the sustainable development of the national economy through the adoption of laws that meet the requirements of the new state and economic conditions, consistent reforms, and the adaptation of the country’s economy to market conditions.
As President Emomali Rahmon stated in his annual Address to the Supreme Assembly last December, the government is gradually implementing policies with the goal of energy independence, overcoming the communication deadlock, and including the country into transit routes, protecting food security and access to quality food, accelerating the industrialization of the country and expanding productive employment.
