Tajikistan and Turkey Discuss Trade and Economic Relations

DUSHANBE, 31.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sughd Muhammadjon Muhamedjonov met with the Chairman of the Tajik and Turkish Business Council Jahongir Fikri Saatchioglu.
Muhamedjonov provided Saatchioglu with extended information about the investment climate in Sughd, its economic potential, analysis of existing trade and economic relations, promising sectors of the economy, as well as the opportunities and advantages of the Sughd Free Economic Zone, where Turkish investments are possible.
Saatchioglu spoke about his activities within the framework of the Bilateral Business Council, the growth of trade between the two countries, and the need to hold joint meetings and trade forums to identify investment opportunities. He also invited entrepreneurs from Sughd to participate in the trade forum to be held in the city of Izmir.
Following the meeting, Muhamedjonov invited the members of the Turkish business circles to take part in the International Exhibition Sughd-2022, which will be held in July 2022 in Khujand.
