Tajikistan and Belarus Plan to Create Joint Carpets Production Venture

DUSHANBE, 21.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda met with Ambassador of Belarus to Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko.
The meeting focused on the creation of a joint venture for the production of carpets in the Sughd free economic zone.
They also touched upon the expansion of trade cooperation between the two countries, the possibility of increasing the export of environmentally friendly goods and products of Tajikistan to Belarus, including fruits, vegetables, and dried fruits, as well as strengthening cooperation in the field of digitalization.
The parties expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation using the available opportunities.
