IsDB Allocates $9.5 million to Develop the Education Sector in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 13.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) allocated $9.5 million to develop the education sector in Tajikistan, reports Saudi Press Agency.
On December 12, at the annual meeting of the Executive Board of the IsDB, which was held under the leadership of the Bank’s Chairman Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, it was approved the IsDB annual budget for 2023, which provides for a total of $ 363.3 million,
“Also, the IsDB, headquartered in the city of Jeddah, approved a project of additional financing in the amount of $9.5 million for the development of the education sector in Tajikistan,” the source said.
It should be noted that the IsDB is one of the most multilateral development banks in the world, its branches are located in many countries.
The bank’s operating assets are more than $16 billion, and its authorized capital is $70 billion.
