Trade Turnover Between Tajikistan and Iran Increases by 300% in 2022

DUSHANBE, 12.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Trade turnover between Iran and Tajikistan increased by 300% in 2022 compared to last year. This was stated by Iranian Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabyan on December 5, reports the Russian news agency IRAN.ru.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 15th meeting of the Tajik-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, he expressed hope for the development of ties in the coming years.
Mehrabyan stated that trade ties between Iran and Tajikistan increased significantly in 2013 before they began to decline.
According to him, high-ranking delegations of the two countries took part in a meeting in Tehran to discuss expanding cooperation on energy and culture issues.
